Things To Do
Wickenburg Legends and Ghost Tours
Wickenburg Legends and Ghost Tours primarily write about the history and local legends of Wickenburg, Arizona, including its ghost stories. They delve into the town's past, covering topics like its early days, historic buildings, mining history, robberies, missing gold, and the devastating flood of 1890
Vulture City Ghost Town
This abandoned settlement nestled into the breathtaking landscape of the Sonoran Desert, was established in 1863 and developed to meet the needs of Arizona's most successful gold mine. Vulture City’s population quickly rose to several thousand residents. In 1942, the War Production Board ordered the closing of all non-essential mines to ensure that resources were focused on the war effort.
The Jail Tree
A jail tree is any tree used to incarcerate a person, usually by chaining the prisoner up to the tree. Jail trees were used on the American frontier in the Territory of Arizona, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries; jail trees were also used in Australia. A few jail trees survive to this day.
